Adventure Cove Sentosa

The thrilling pipeline plunge, tidal twister, the bluewater waves, the lazy river... what more could you ask for in a water park? (I know, that all of my nephews and nieces were there too!)

My favorite moments?
  • Kuya not wanting to leave the big waves! I'm the happiest when Kuya does something he really likes, much more when he's the one initiating it.
  • Daddy and Miguel spending time alone at the giant slide. Because he wanted the both of them to be partners that day.
  • Me riding the floater. Alone. Enjoying like a kid.
  • Hubby and I at the Pipeline plunge.
  • Mae and I at the Pipeline plunge.
  • Corndogs!

Made this layout with NEONS in my mind and Amy Tangerine Sketchbook papers were perfect for my idea. I like that these papers are so fun and cute but not too girly.

The title is made with a mix of Sizzix Eclips and thickers. I also experimented with masking, painting and embossing with neon embossing powders but I didn't like how it turned out so I tried to cover it up with  washi and paper strips, and finished the layers with machine stitching. Talk about real SCRAP-booking haha!

Inspired by Corrie Jones' see-thru challenge at Two Peas, I covered up the "unwanted' photo (because I printed it with the wrong setting, making it dark, but I didn't want to throw it away) with vellum, sealed it with stitching and splattered with white paint.

Now, here are the rest of our photos. The very few photos we have (WHY??!!) Because when you're dripping wet and enjoying that much, you tend to choose to ignore the camera :P

I'm also submitting this to Let's Get Trendy Now 3's neon challenge. I can't get enough of neon nowadays haha!

{just us} and a Good News!

Hello! Blogging live from Le Grandeur

God gave us this chance to spend 4 days without the kids.. It's a lovely time and place for a retreat but I miss my two rascals so terribly. Thank heavens for Skype, we managed to enjoy some make-believe tickles, hugs and kisses. I can never imagine doing these silly kiss-the-screen thingy for more than 4 days though.  I can't wait to get home...

However, I really believe hubby and I need this time. Just us. With God. I feel so blessed. Sometimes a little bit unworthy for everything I have been getting from this retreat. It's just too much of a blessing to know the truth about His perfect love for an imperfect sinner like me...

These photos are not the "blessings" and the "everything" and the "Perfect Love" I was talking about. These are nothing compared to what I really meant. It's much much more deeper and substantial than that. I can't describe it! It is my prayer that you will know about it in His time :)

Next topic! OMG! I have been keeping this for weeks and I'm glad the time has come to share the news...

My fellow scrappers know that I have been, since the very first time I used these rock stars, an avid fan of Dew Drops. I use these in almost all my projects and I am soooo happy and grateful to be part of the Robin's Nest Design Team! Congratulations to my fellow DT members!   Thank you Terri and Robin! Can't wait to start creating with you all =)

I'm back!

... from a very lovely vacation!
This one really made me appreciate the beauty of my beloved country, particularly Bohol. I promise to be back with my family and visit more places soon. My heart is heavy with homesickness the minute we left. But I am excited and happy that I brought with me loads of sweet memories with old and new friends.
We took a million photos. So many it overwhelms me! Making me not touch it yet which explains why  this post relies on my iphone instagram shots. hahah!

... to these yumminess waiting for me!

foretaste of heaven

Just got back from a 4-day convivence in this nice resort hotel in Malaysia. That retreat with my hubby and 83 more brothers and sisters from our Neo-Catecumenal Way community, I want to say out loud, really changed my life. It changed my perspective on life in a great great way. The life experiences of many, the message of hope about death, heaven and hell, here and now in my present life, my sins, my weaknesses, and God's great love for me despite all of those were laid clearly in front of me --- and I never felt this peaceful in my entire life. I pray that this state stays with me for the longest time. I am truly happy. Happiness from deep within. The kind of joy without the loud laugh. It makes me cry in fact. The kind of happiness that I need not show and tell because it's just between me and God.

I was saying to a brother while we were on board our bus, I'm scared of going back --- to the real world, outside the comfort zone of that spirit-filled retreat. But I quickly reminded myself to just be ready all the time and look up, beg for His mercy. So now, I am back, with a prayer: Holy Spirit please be with me and my hubby in facing life... and occasional "deaths"... hoping that You are always there for us lifting us up in each and every "resurrection"...

Sharing with you some of my favorite photos :) hope it shows here how our two boys loved the vacation as well :)
