Mini Envelope Album Tutorial

I made lots of mini envelopes and turned it into a book. Wanna know how I did it? Click HERE.

trend talk: NEON

This is a 6x6 page. One of the 1 million pages of our 2011 Philippines vacation that takes forever to finish haha! I played with just any paper stash I could grab, made a collage and stitched everywhere.

The photo is really precious for it's a rare opportunity for the 3rd generation of the Gervacio-Jao clan (my hubby's father's side) to be together! To highlight this photo I framed it with my favorite camera frame die from Sizzix. Finished it up with random embellishments.

My favorite details are the neon washi tape and the sequins. These are my current fave! It's so easy to use them as they go with practically anything.. and it's TRENDY *wink*

How did I know? Check Let's Get Trendy Now 3. It's really exciting over there and their daily prompts will inspire you to create and not stop! I'm already thinking of what to create for their next challenge :)

Mothers' Day Blog Hop

Hi! :) Welcome to my blog! Cass, Juanna, Sam and I just decided to do this blog hop to honor our Moms.  My mother and I are not very affectionate and cheesy towards each other but I can't imagine my life without her. When I have a problem, my mother is the one person I go to knowing that no matter what, she will be on my side and will listen to me without judging me.  I miss my mother. She just had her eye operation to remove her cataract so this mothers day is going to be one of her best coz she will be able to read this post with clarity haha!

And of course this blog hop is also  a fun way of getting to know YOU all!  If you are here by chance, better start this blog hop by following this order:

           Genevive (that's me!)

If you came from Cassandra's blog, then you are at the right place. Sit back, relax and enjoy what I have prepared for you... 4 different blank mini albums that can really make Mom smile :)

I have shared how I made these in my Instagram :)

Choose and cut papers. (4.5 x 6")

Organize and paste on to chibboard cuts.

Sand the edges. Punch. Bind (ring). Embellish! :)
(To learn the details on how to make these, watch out for my workshop soon to be announced HERE)

I will be giving away one (you choose!) of these to one lucky winner (sorry that it is for scrappers in Singapore only). Just follow my blog and leave a comment to get a chance. Comments will be closed on 1 May, Tuesday.

Hope you're having a great time so far! Now it's time to hop on to Juanna's blog :)

Later at 8PM :)

ThoughtfulCrafts Tuesday: Baby Mini Album

Just finished this 6x6 chipboard ring Baby Mini for a mom client and I enjoyed every bit of it. It is a blank album so New Mommy can just fill it up with baby photos, her very own sentiments and add-ons.

I played with colors blue, green, yellow and a little bit of red. With very little store-bought embellishments on hand, Sizzix die-cuts came to the rescue! 7 of them all! Sizzix lovers, can you tell what are they? :)

Gotta wrap this now and move on to the next project:  Miguel's 5th birthday. That's tomorrow!

random

Singing with my crush. Don't worry dear husband he is just a crush. You are my love :D
Busy with Easter goodies.
Trying my best to forget my migraine.
Tea time with Momi Tin.
Cooking this and this.
Anticipating Easter Vigil. The most important night of the year.
Clinging on to Him so as to maintain my heaven in this chaotic and sometimes very tiring and not so heavenly world...

The last one is quite deep and sensitive =) I wish to talk more about it with  tea and a cheesecake with a dear friend or a family. I sometimes hate that they are so far from where I am. I CAN SMELL HOMESICKNESS.

Change topic.

Here's one of the minis I have done for a workshop long ago for Jodi. I miss this beautiful kid.

Wishing you love and peace this Lenten season...

Let's talk about Valentine's Day...

Hmmn.. I got nothing much to say. So let's just talk about my valentine projects... Here's a mini album made out of a mix of many different products from different paper collections (and lots of washi tapes!) in 6x6 grey board...

Joelyn must be a sweet lovable girl for someone to go out of his way and commission me to make this very special blank mini :) I can't wait to hear how their valentine's day turned out.

Cards...

Tiny bags of chocolates + cards for my son's teachers...

Look! Someone got so busy making cards for his classmates. Aftert that he said: "I'm so tired!" lol!

... and here's what I said in Facebook:

I believe that with all my heart. But right now,  I'm having a hard time putting it into action :(
God help me. Please.

good times

Using Crate Paper's Neighborhood collection, I made this mini accordion album for a dear friend... will be sending this to Japan as my "thank you" gift for her.. she's not blogging and I don't think she checks my blog so I guess it's fine that I'm posting it now haha! Hope she likes it :)

... that green handmade envelope contains more photos we took while they were still here :)

Thanks for looking! :)

mini in a box

This is a gift for myself. A mini album celebrating being mommy to my two adorable boys...

... I got the box from Daiso, altered it with trims, flower die-cuts using Sizzix dies.

... for the album, I used Sizzix bracket album die and American Crafts confetti papers and thickers.

Hope you like my simple, precious album in a box!

By the way, what do you think of my new blog design? :)

Lastly, I'd like to thank Echo Park for featuring my work in their blog here.  Today, I am a fan winning their contest... someday, I will meet Mr. Madison as one of their designers. DREAM. It's free. hahaha!
