altered notebook | American Crafts

A custom-made altered notebook for a lovely lady, Chrissy. I love how easy it was for me to put the collage together using Dear Lizzy's Neapolitan papers from American Crafts.

I added the polka dots and stripes MT tapes, Sizzix slide mount diecuts, trims and twine and some sequins for a trendy touch.

A loser look of the stitching and stamping using acrylic paint. It gives the notebook an interesting texture.

I've got more altered notebooks here. Check it out! :)

Can you tell?

Two of these are $2 frames from Daiso and two are $30+ ones from a local scrapbooking store. Can you tell which is which? :)

If you would like to learn how to alter these frames on a private workshop, please leave a comment or visit my facebook site by clicking here. Thank you! :)

everyday is...

Mothers Day!

Now that's a good excuse for me not having to finish these altered frames in time for mothers day. Another follow up excuse is because my son got sick and I got sick. And life got in the way. It would have been perfect if I made it earlier, and posted it on time. But I didn't. That got me a little frustrated.

But I know our moms don't care that much. They love us no matter what. They are patient of our shortcomings. They are happy with anything we give. Anytime. And even if we don't and we can't.  They are the President of our Fans Club. They are the bestest of our friends.

With that, our moms deserve a mothers day treatment. Everyday.

So it doesn't matter if these frames are late. Today is mothers day! Happy Mothers Day Mamang and Mommy. We love you both so much :)

Easter recap...

Easter is the most important part of my Christian Life. How can I ever not post about it? Promptly? Sigh. Just too many things in my plate right now. But each day I thank the Lord for the grace to do all things through Him who strenghtens me :) With Him at my side I can ganbatte!

So though I'm like 2 weeks late, I shall share with you my Easter 2012 memories...

... I was assigned by our responsible to make the easter egg baskets for the kids of the whole community who like us adults, would stay awake for the Easter Vigil from almost midnight up until the vigil is finished. By finished it means about 6 am. My Miguel slept halfway through the event. We'll see next year how it goes :)

... We dress our best! Taking this photo and going to the very special and grand celebration without Kuya is a sign that I have accepted and kissed one of my crosses. Now, I don't feel that pain anymore if Kuya can't be with us in occasions such as this. It is part of His plan. I love Him. I believe He loves me. I trust and obey Him. But God is full of surprises. Who knows what  next year would be like? *looking up to heaven*

... our community was so excited that we were the first to arrive!

... One of my fave photos. Two little boys. Future cantors of the community.

... Like father like son. Thanks to Jimmy Badilla and Flor Badilla of Jimflors for the handpainted barongs!

... There were many times during the celebration when I got teary-eyed. This is one of them. Cecilia, mother of seven (three of them belong to our community) answering her son's question: "Why is this night so different?" It was so honest, sincere, pure and so inspiring.

... we all look forward to this :)

... and this! :)

... and most especially this? ^ LOL! Easter recap to be continued soon! Thanks for staying with me up til here. Christ is risen! He is truly risen! =)

treasure bag

It's school holiday the whole week! Such a perfect time for this workshop I designed for  kids.  In this class, kids will have fun altering a pretty paper bag that will hold a mini accordion album containing anything and everything they treasure in life!

A little birdie told me that the class is full as of now. Thank you to all who signed up! But who knows, we might offer it again in the coming months. Will keep you posted :)

Contact Made With Love for more information on all the workshops we offer. Thanks! :)

Pebbles: With Love

First of all, happy valentine to God my first love....
Second of all, to Benjo Rulona who still hasn't called me because he is somewhere out there earning a living for the family. Now that's true love, right? (yeah right!) hahah! I love you so much Baby, so excited for your pasalubong :D

... thank you so much Pebbles for giving me all these and these as my prize in one of your recent contests. I  am already in love with everything Pebbles! I created these heart bags using those sweetness they sent me. Now I wish valentines day is more than just one day because I have a lot more of the goodies left...

Why not?
Everyday should be valentines day :)
To share love with our family and few true friends, to understand and be patient with some people who annoy us, to embrace life's imperfections, to be happy in the little things, to find beauty in everything... it's not that easy but we can try :)

So Happy Valentine - Tuesday everybody! Leave a comment and be my follower (from now until Friday) and I will be sharing some With Love goodies from Pebbles with you :)

shoebox love

Good morning! Sooooo excited to share with you my latest creation....

... an altered shoebox!

... it used to look like this! The box is so sturdy and I thought, it would be perfect to house my 4x4 card stash. So using all sorts of my favorite things (sizzix, stamps, ribbons, dew drops, buttons, laces, fabrics and of course Echo Park papers!) I made this box with all my L.O.V.E. =)

Some more close ups...

That's not all!
Because what's a box without any treasure in it?
Presenting my 36 valentines cards. Each and every card is unique and special....

Making these cards brought back childhood memories... I grew up (with my 4 siblings) helping our parents make and sell cards for valentines days and other special occasions. We would cut out flowers, and do other cool artsy stuff and our cards sold like hotcakes!!! More cards, more money and more smiles!!! :):):) I think I will show you what kind of cards we sold that time... soon maybe :)

So there... hope you liked this valentine stuff I made! Thanks EP for the lovely Yours Truly collection pack I won from you last December ...  and thank you too for featuring my layout (which I made using the same collection) love love you Echo Park! :)

HAPPY VALENTINE TO ALL! XOXO :)

mini in a box

This is a gift for myself. A mini album celebrating being mommy to my two adorable boys...

... I got the box from Daiso, altered it with trims, flower die-cuts using Sizzix dies.

... for the album, I used Sizzix bracket album die and American Crafts confetti papers and thickers.

Hope you like my simple, precious album in a box!

By the way, what do you think of my new blog design? :)

Lastly, I'd like to thank Echo Park for featuring my work in their blog here.  Today, I am a fan winning their contest... someday, I will meet Mr. Madison as one of their designers. DREAM. It's free. hahaha!

3 projects using 1 paper pad

This week, I challenged myself to make 3 different projects using just 1 6x6 paper pad from Echo Park...

Project #1: Receipt Holder Home Decor

To make this, I cut 12 pcs. 2x3 papers and randomly added some stuff from my stash... played around the lovely papers using dies, punches. Very Easy! :)

Project #2: Christmas Tree - Mini Album

This tree is actually a mini album measuring less than a foot! It's toooo cute right? First, I punched the papers, and sew them into paper ruffles... adhered the ruffles to the tree album...

... then I prepared all the elements I wanted to put together: tiny frames with my kids handsome photos in it, the paper christmas lights, the flowers, the stars, the tiny presents... all of them are extremely tiny and cute!!! :)

... presenting, our humble little Christmas tree! The little presents are actually matchboxes wrapped with Season's Greetings paper :)

Project #3: Christmas Cards

I hope you enjoyed my budget-friendly creations! :)
